Kalinga Tattoo: Ancient and Modern Expressions of the Tribe is a photographic masterpiece dedicated to the endangered tribal tattoo art of the Kalinga, who live in the remote mountains of northern Philippines. Kalinga Tattoo combines the extraordinary skills of numerous international photographers with the words and stories of nearly 50 Kalinga tribal elders, and it is the very first book to narrate the history of this incredibly rich tradition of indigenous body art, which is believed to be nearly a millennium old.
