This is how students learn to debate. "Teaching Debate" is the official guide for teachers involved in Youth Debates. The guide shows all interested teachers in 6 chapters how to introduce and methodically use debate as a form of discussion in the classroom. The individual exercises are systematically coordinated and allow for the entire class to participate. All exercises aim to spark enthusiasm for debating and enable every student to make noticeable progress in knowledge, expression, conversational skills, and persuasive ability. The easily implementable lesson suggestions are assigned to four competencies: finding reasons, getting to the point, engaging with others, and drawing conclusions. The order of presentation is based on anticipated student interests.
