Reset - New Paths to Writing

In German classes, creative writing is often used as a tool to engage disinterested or unmotivated students. Too often, however, serious engagement with language or literature is sidelined, as the exercises become lost in purely didactic, playful, or experimental approaches. Whether in special education or elite boarding schools, among native speakers or non-native speakers: every type of school and every group presents new challenges for a literary writing workshop that must be mastered not only on a linguistic and artistic level but also on a human level. Since 2003, Tilman Rau and Ulrike Wörner have been working with adolescents and young adults in their literary writing workshops both domestically and abroad, always accompanied by photographer Yves Noir.
