The collegial text included in this volume aims to be not only an introduction to Aristotle's thinking through the interpretation of selected pieces from his "Rhetoric," but also a guide to the appropriate engagement with classical texts of the philosophical tradition in general. To achieve this goal, the analysis and interpretation of a series of concepts, particularly from logic and ethics, are essential, as they are fundamentally important for Aristotelian philosophy beyond their relevance to rhetoric. In this context, the relevant texts serve merely as a medium for philosophical thought itself: with their help, both Aristotle's views and his arguments are examined, as well as one's own philosophical intentions directed towards the matters that these views address.
