Through advancements in the fields of preimplantation diagnostics, embryo research, and cloning methods, the necessity for their legal regulation has become increasingly evident. As the national debate cannot be separated from the international discussion, looking at other legal systems is a necessary prerequisite for regulatory options in one's own country. This volume provides a comparative overview of the international legal situation, presenting and comparing relevant legal regulations from selected countries. It aims to contribute to mapping the diverse international regulatory landscape. The focus is primarily on the EU member states, as well as Switzerland, the USA, Canada, Japan, and Israel. Additionally, it attempts to identify trends and fundamental models of regulatory techniques and contents.
