This essay describes the birth of factual reason and narrates the origin of the factual age from Parmenides and Wittgenstein to our present day. Parmenides and Wittgenstein are separated by a full 2500 years, yet both represent a radical realism and a timeless ontology in the history of thought: they share a neutral perspective from above. Every neutral realism is an attempt to confront the meaninglessness of life. Whether it is the unshakeable sphere of being or the philosophical ladder that must be overcome repeatedly, both embody the dream of an indestructible, objective world of facts. Therefore, neutral realism signifies, both in antiquity and in the 20th century, the establishment of a timeless ontological truth to counter the inexplicable paradox of the world.
