Three stories set at the end of the Middle Ages from Karl May's earliest creative period recount the pacification of the Mark Brandenburg by Burgrave Friedrich of Nuremberg. The central figure of the events is his great adversary, the dubious robber knight Dietrich von Quitzow. The volume includes the following stories: 1.) Suteminn, the Lonely; 2.)
