Our world is colorful. People from other countries are just like you and me, and that’s why we want to work together to ensure that we can all live well and peacefully on our planet. It’s about recognizing and addressing diversity. Getting to know children from other countries enriches us and provides an opportunity. We want to approach them with curiosity and openness. The main goal of this folder is to convey to children that multiculturalism is a given in our society - because they are growing up in a country where it is normal for many different languages to be spoken and for people to have diverse cultural backgrounds. The children play children's games from Syria and Egypt, cook for an international buffet, experience what it feels like when someone doesn’t understand them, and sing simple songs.
