Not only families but also the media unfortunately do not always positively influence children's eating habits today. Who isn't familiar with the increasingly frequent reports of overweight and poorly nourished children? The consequences of improper eating and exercise behaviors are alarming. As a teacher today, one can no longer assume that nutritional education is sufficiently provided at home. Therefore, it is the school's responsibility to make students aware of age-appropriate eating behaviors and to show them that proper eating and exercise go hand in hand and can be enjoyable. This thematic issue, "Active and Fit," aims to help elementary school students engage more deeply with their nutrition, eating habits, and physical activity patterns, demonstrating that proper nutrition contributes not only to physical and mental fitness.
