The completion of the collected works of Dieter Wellershoff. A significant literary and essayistic body of work is now presented in its entirety: Over 50 years of journalistic activity are compiled in the nine-volume collected works of Dieter Wellershoff - a compendium of intellectual and literary history. Volumes 7, 8, and 9, edited by Keith Bullivant and Manfred Durzak, once again span a wide arc: While the narrative works range from the novel "The Desire for Love" through the short story collection "Normal Life" to the most recent novel "Heaven is Not a Place," volumes 8 and 9 include essayistic texts from the early work, the groundbreaking monograph on Gottfried Benn published in 1959, and current texts on literary, social, and political topics. Additionally, a previously unpublished corpus of texts is gathered here with commentary: Dieter Weller.
