This book is intended for therapists and serves as a foundational work on pediatric medicine and pediatric tuina. I have gained extensive knowledge in pediatric medicine and tuina from my Chinese teachers at Shandong University, Dr. He, Nanjing, Dr. Yin Ming, and from Vienna, Dr. Liang Zhi. A background in traditional Chinese medicine is essential; otherwise, one does not know what they are doing. Pediatrics is a specialized area in TCM; its physiology and pathology are quite different from those of adults, and it is often more challenging to treat since illness or health can change more rapidly. Many learn tuina and pediatric tuina with us without any TCM knowledge, which is not always necessary for certain treatments.
