A Celebration of Botanical Drawing and Description.

Illustrator: Katie Scott graduated from the University of Brighton in 2011. Her work draws influences from traditional medical and botanical illustration, both in aesthetics and themes. Her pieces play with ideas of scientific uncertainty and speculation, fabricating the inner and outer workings of the world. Her illustrations present a familiar yet imaginative vision of plants, people, and minerals.

Author: Professor Katherine (Kathy) J. Willis is the Director of Science at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, where she led the introduction of Kew's science strategy for 2015-2020. Kathy is also a Professor of Biodiversity in the Department of Zoology at the University of Oxford and an Adjunct Professor of Biology at the University of Bergen. Previously, she held the Tasso Leventis Chair.
