The tasks and activities of technical inspection bodies and officially recognized monitoring organizations are of great importance for road safety. A key prerequisite for the high standard achieved through regular technical inspections of the vehicle fleet in Germany is the quality of the training and continuing education of officially recognized experts or examiners for motor vehicle traffic, as well as the testing engineers in technical monitoring. This quality must be ensured and promoted. The new publication "The Motor Vehicle Expert - Textbook for the Training and Continuing Education of aaSoP (PI)" serves as a high-quality textbook for training and as a reference work for further education and practice, contributing to quality assurance and promotion. It is aligned with the fundamentals of the newly developed curriculum for training.
