Due to the limited application range of rectangular hollow section joints, many of the cross-sections included in the technical delivery conditions can only be used with individual approval. The presented design concept allows for the design of K-joints with thin-walled chords, making these cross-sections accessible for the design of hollow section joints. Additionally, it enables the design of joints with small gap widths.
