This study examines the interaction of natural aerosol with clouds during two different weather conditions over Central Europe. One model study highlights the influence of sea salt aerosol on post-frontal, convective cumulus clouds. In a second model study, the impact of mineral dust aerosol on cirrus formation over Central Europe during a Saharan dust event on April 3, 2014, is investigated.
