Spectral analyses provide information for the design of a camera-based monitoring system for pulsed laser welding processes. Based on these process-physical insights, a vision-based, weakly supervised learning classification system is developed for industrial process monitoring using process radiation. The use of narrowband illumination and divergence-based edge detection filters enables the segmentation of the process zone surface.
