Product details
A process model for representing inductive single and dual frequency hardening, taking into account process-specific aspects, has been developed. Using the material 42CrMo4 in the tempered state as an example, it can be demonstrated that component characteristics such as residual stress and hardening depth profiles are well represented. Based on the modeling, it can be shown that the deviation in the quantitative representation of the residual stresses is due to the underestimation of the transformation plasticity.
