Driver assistance systems provide the possibility for automatic interventions in dangerous situations, thereby offering potential for accident prevention and minimizing the severity of accidents in road traffic. The actions of multiple cognitive vehicles can be coordinated via radio communication. This dissertation examines potentially real-time capable motion planning algorithms for planning driving maneuvers that can be cooperatively executed by multiple vehicles.
