A computational model was developed to simulate the load-bearing behavior of shear-reinforced beams. The interaction between shear and transverse stresses was integrated into the computational model. The composite behavior of the reinforcement elements in the wood was determined through experiments. To validate the computational model, tests were conducted with shear-reinforced beams made of glued laminated timber. Additionally, the rehabilitation of shear-damaged beams with internal reinforcement materials was investigated.
