In this work, the heating and cooling behavior of various HTSL tape conductors was systematically investigated through experiments and simulations. Different simulation models are presented and evaluated for their suitability in replicating the typical processes occurring in superconductors. Recommendations for appropriate simulation models are derived from this. By varying individual parameters, different influences on the transition behavior of the conductor are examined.
