This work investigates sputtered aluminum-doped zinc oxide as a transparent cathode in semi-transparent organic solar cells. The optical properties of the transparent electrodes are thoroughly examined, including their impact on light management within this type of solar cell. Based on this, tandem solar cells with an additional intermediate electrode are developed, allowing for the optoelectronic characterization of their sub-cells.
