The material group of perovskites includes many important functional ceramics that are characterized by outstanding electrical properties. However, in many applications, there is a strong influence of the microstructure and thus also of grain growth. To model grain growth, knowledge of the parameters of grain boundary mobility and energy is necessary. In this work, both parameters for the perovskite model system SrTiO3 were measured as a function of temperature and atmosphere.
