An approach for reproducing friction-induced vibrations in gearboxes within the audible frequency range is presented. The focus is on the load effects resulting from contact reactions in the gearing and friction between the clutch discs. Initially, a multi-body system (MKS) model with a few degrees of freedom is introduced, which is subsequently expanded. In addition to the stability analysis of the stationary behavior, dynamic solutions are presented and analyzed.
