In modern equestrianism, there is a lack of classical dressage training. The direct consequence of this is widespread incorrect postures in horses, which directly affect their rideability. Ultimately, this leads to enormous costs for veterinary care and physiotherapy, as well as horses being retired long before their physiological performance capacity is reached. The old masters of classical riding, along with insights from human medicine, provide us with excellent approaches to counteract this inadequate training.
