The course book "Darstellendes Spiel" is the newly revised edition of the 2009 course book, specifically for the advanced course 2 and the Abitur chapter. It serves as a workbook for students, helping them acquire fundamental skills in the area of performing arts/theater. It adheres to the guidelines of the standardized examination requirements for the Abitur.

The basic courses provide the foundational competencies for further work: Basic Course 1: Body, Space, and Improvisation; Basic Course 2: Characters and Ensemble. The advanced courses are based on aesthetic learning fields in theater. They are designed more freely and do not restrict an ensemble to a specific drama or theme: Advanced Course 1: Dramaturgy and Staging; Advanced Course 2: Contemporary Theater. Practical and creative skills, knowledge, independence, and personal responsibility are conveyed in four essential competency areas: aesthetic foundations of theater, aesthetic design, aesthetic communication, and sociocultural participation.
