Kurt rescues Recha from the fire, and they both fall in love. They are young and dream of spending their lives together. However, their love must first overcome the hurdles of faith. In his award-winning play, Ulrich Hub gives the young generation the leading role, bringing Recha and Kurt together with all the conflicting parties - Jews, Christians, and Muslims - at the breakfast table, asking: 'Aren't we all human beings first?'.
