Clear structure: The textbook is divided into topic chapters, reading chapters, and training units on grammar and spelling. From volume 8 onward, there are additional training units related to the profession.

Topic chapters include the activation of previous knowledge, linking to personal experiences, and connections to contents of other subjects. It features central, pre-relieved material with reading and writing tasks, as well as further texts, exercises, and project ideas.

Reading chapters consist of poems and story texts with appropriate text relief, developed in a production-oriented way to encourage storytelling and further reading.

Training units on grammar and spelling utilize an inductive approach and elementarization with consistent functionality.
