Human society is now able to make predictions about future climate using modern scientific methods of climate modeling. Current climate research also allows us to identify possible human causes of climate change. As a result, climate has become a sphere of human consequences in societal awareness. Human "climate action" thus becomes necessary. This requires consideration of both the risk posed by undesirable climate effects and the proportionality of proposed measures or strategies to be developed for climate prevention. This study seeks to address these questions. It includes a critical assessment of the scientific knowledge base from relevant disciplines, an evaluation of the methodological tools used in climate research, and a review of the methods employed.
