Product details

During the printing of the manuscript of the introduction as well as the first and second sections of "Being and Time," which was completed at the beginning of 1926, Heidegger continues to work on the third section "Time and Being." However, at the end of December 1926, he decides to abandon this first draft in order to tackle a new version of the third section of the first part of Being and Time in his lecture for the summer semester of 1927, titled "The Fundamental Problems of Phenomenology." The overall content of the fundamental problems of phenomenology, in its systematics and justification, consists of a discussion of the fundamental question regarding the meaning of Being in general and the problems arising from it. The theme of "Time and Being," as characterized here, will, however, be treated differently than in the discarded first draft, not in a direct manner.
