The Klosterschule Rossleben is a former Cistercian monastery and the oldest boarding school in Germany. In the 1920s, a number of students attended Rossleben, who later joined the resistance against National Socialism during the Nazi dictatorship. Among them were Ulrich-Wilhelm Count Schwerin von Schwanenfeld, Peter Yorck von Wartenburg, a close associate of Stauffenberg, as well as Egbert Hayessen and Heinrich Count von Lehndorff. They participated in the attempted coup of July 20, 1944, and were executed. Only now is research beginning into the influence of the school on the resisters. Get initial information with this book!.
