The Klosterschule Rossleben is a former Cistercian monastery and the oldest boarding school in Germany. In the 1920s, a number of students attended Rossleben, who later joined the resistance against National Socialism during the Nazi dictatorship. Among them were Ulrich-Wilhelm Count Schwerin von Schwanenfeld, Peter Yorck von Wartenburg, a close associate of Stauffenberg, as well as Egbert Hayessen and Heinrich Count von Lehndorff.
