One morning, Gräumelin wakes up and is astonished to find that he is no longer gray like all the other inhabitants and everything else in his gray land. Suddenly, he is completely green, from his beak to the tip of his tail. Without thinking too long, he sets off in search of the Green Land. On his adventurous journey, Gräumelin wanders through differently colored worlds, makes new friends, and discovers that a colorful world is the most beautiful of all.
