Robert Turin, in his mid-forties, wants to die in Switzerland, as there he could determine when the time has come. Even better, he wishes he were not terminally ill, but the diagnosis is indisputable: Multiple Sclerosis. To avoid being a burden to his wife, he moves into a care home, voluntarily and ahead of time. However, the cantankerous patient is not easy to manage, as the nurses soon realize. As his condition deteriorates, he decides to end his life before it’s too late. But it’s not that simple: Just as he relies on assistance in daily life to get from his bed to his wheelchair so that he can be in the cafeteria.
