Never before have we had the chance to live as healthily and as long as in the coming years and decades. Yet, for most people, the prospect of aging brings a considerable amount of fear. The notion that from now on, it’s all downhill is deeply ingrained. This is not true, says journalist Margaret Heckel. Science proves that the older brain works at least as well as that of younger people. And statistics show that beyond the age of 50, people are happier than ever before in their lives. It is therefore high time to dispel old fears and prejudices and to develop a new image of the second half of life! Across Germany and in many regions of the world, fearless and innovative individuals, trendsetters, and creatives are setting out to map the landscape of longevity.
