ADHD in Adulthood: A New Therapeutic Approach. Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), which was long considered a condition limited to childhood, is now understood as a chronic psychiatric disorder that can also lead to significant impairments in daily functioning, performance, social relationships, and self-esteem in adulthood. The German guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of adult ADHD recommend a multimodal therapeutic approach using pharmacotherapy and disorder-specific psychotherapy. This therapy program, developed from practical work with adults with ADHD and scientifically validated for its effectiveness, aims to contribute to this field. The development of the program was particularly driven by observation.
