Product details

The "short" 20th century is the focus of this volume. It begins with an overview of the Weimar Republic, addresses National Socialism, and covers the history of Germany from 1945 to 1990. The histories of the Federal Republic of Germany (BRD) and the German Democratic Republic (DDR) are interwoven, allowing the inner connection between the two developments to remain visible. The presentation concludes with the reunification of the two German states. The content is once again didactically reduced, prepared, and conveyed based on the competency concept developed in Volume 1. It demonstrates how modern history teaching can optimally convey contemporary history and which didactic methods accompany and support the learning process. Characteristic content that defines the era is selected, prepared, and interconnected. In contrast to Volumes 2-4, where the historical competence of the students is promoted.
