This work presents the four basic psychological functions: sensing, intuiting, feeling, and thinking - both in their general form and in their extraverted and introverted expressions. It discusses their significance for individual development, educational support, societal trends, as well as their symbolism and spiritual connections. Based on Jung's research on typology, a modern model of balanced development of all functions is introduced, which has therapeutic relevance across different schools of psychotherapy. It enables the diagnostic assessment and therapeutic processing of neurotic one-sidedness and dissociations, helps to recognize one's own talents, achieve inner balance, and better understand high sensitivity.
