The topic of "inclusion" has reached the center of German society. This book does not aim to continue the debate over the pros and cons of inclusion. Instead, it focuses on the only crucial question for the present: How can the goal of inclusion be implemented in social practice? The book broadens the perspective on the historical dimensions, international experiences, obstacles and opportunities within social and educational systems, and ultimately on the self-understanding of the actors and the views of those affected. This makes the opportunities of the "Vision of Inclusion" visible in more humane societies.
