Even young children take an interest in the things around them and try to understand the connections. This book demonstrates how children aged three to six can be playfully introduced to the sciences, with developmental psychological prerequisites and subject-specific didactic approaches serving as the starting point. It then explains the fundamentals of scientific thinking and action. Practical examples show how, using simple materials, a play-based approach can stimulate a basic understanding of scientific ways of thinking and working, as well as physical concepts.
