For children and adolescents with complex psychosocial burdens, there are only a few comprehensive and proven support concepts available. The multi-perspective explanatory model and a redefinition of the term "personality development disorder" aim to contribute to the understanding of therapeutic and educational issues. The resulting working hypotheses open up new possibilities for cases where therapies fail and educational difficulties persist. Many courses of action are illustrated through case examples. It is hoped that the standards formulated in the book for working with children with personality development disorders will become common practice in many youth welfare institutions. A book that encourages the pursuit of interdisciplinary cooperation.
