The spoken, but especially the written word, are the most important tools of professional social work. A social worker spends a large part of their professional day writing reports, statements, and client-related documentation. Together with systematic record-keeping, these written documents form the basis for planning, controlling, and ultimately for the quality assurance of social work. This book provides aspiring social workers with a practical guide to the content and formal design of official documents. "Practical" means that the correspondence, reports, and statements are placed in the context of the central fields of action in social work. For this purpose, the General Social Service of a municipal J has been selected as an example.
