Social workers operate in many different fields and perform a variety of profession-specific functions: counseling, protection and control, support, and expert assessments. Particularly when dealing with complex, often contradictory issues, ethical competence, alongside professional-methodological qualifications, is fundamental for professional action. The book encourages readers to perceive and analyze social problems as ethical questions and to develop approaches for ethical decision-making.
