Inclusion presents a central challenge - not only for social workers but also for educators in health, early childhood, religion, and community settings, as well as for nursing professionals. This volume provides foundational knowledge for interdisciplinary collaboration in four parts: first, a synthesis of theories with relevant foundational theories; second, discussions in the contexts of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, poverty, migration, and social exclusion; third, an examination of resistance and controversies; and finally, an inventory of concepts and methods for preventing exclusion and promoting inclusion.
