These stories are intricate, innovative, and fascinating; they provide insights that cannot be gained through linear methods. This book examines key conflict substances exemplarily: from the painkiller and addictive substance heroin to the life elixir and climate poison CO2. As with many other substances of modernity, it is often the consequences of thoughtless human actions that lead to conflicts.
