Growing up in a civil war zone in Sri Lanka, his mother manages to help him escape at the age of 12 with the help of smugglers. His uncle, who lives in Germany, wants to take him in. He initially travels alone to Singapore. What follows is an odyssey that will lead him to his destination only after many detours.
