At a vernissage at KunstWerk Fellbach, the illustrator and artist Frank Maier and the poet Anna Breitenbach exchanged ideas about their arts, which are beautifully different: abstract, poetic, linear, pictorial, literal. Soon after, they tried out a few combinations of their art. What does Anna Breitenbach think of his images? Which images does he find for her poems? Words and lines, distances and approaches, lines and gradients, gaps and emptiness, fillings: colors, bright fields, taken curves in free space. Copulations. Lyrical line traffic.

Anna Breitenbach is a poet, performer, and writer. She studied German studies and political science and attended journalism school in Munich. For a time, she was a reporter and author for SWR. She has permanent installations (The Poetry Box, Stuttgart City Library, The Window Poem, Alimentari da Loretta) and exhibitions of poetic objects. There are also "love shots" on notes pinned to boards (the notes can be taken, poetry to go!). She lives in Esslingen am Neckar and Elmo di Sorano in Italy. She was awarded the Thaddus Troll Prize for her novel "Fremde Leute.".
