Making movement psychologically effective. Concentrative Movement Therapy (KBT) is an experience-oriented body-psychotherapeutic method: In the movement offerings, the body and actions are experienced with all senses, while the therapeutic conversation reveals the psychological development potential of these experiences. The author explains important theoretical components and describes the practice in an exemplary group process. The dramaturgy, therapeutic approach, experiences, and insights of the group members are professionally commented on. A summary of empirical results and the practice with specific disorders demonstrate that KBT is evidence-based and can be applied in various ways.
