An improvement in the competitive situation is in the interest of every company, and cooperation with other businesses is a suitable means to achieve this. Particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can benefit from collaboration with other firms. The economic literature delves deeply into this aspect. There is also a wealth of works on competition law. However, the connection between these two scientific disciplines has received little attention so far. In his present work, Benjamin Bader builds a bridge between competition law and business administration while simultaneously establishing a link to corporate practice. Following a general overview of the fundamentals of German and European competition law, he provides an analysis of the legal norms relevant to SMEs as well as the various forms of cooperation.
