This volume offers new insights into the nature of conventions for specialized text types and the pragmatic cultural differences they represent in intercultural technical communication. The textbook includes analysis results from 12 corpora of internal and external instructions from machinery and equipment engineering. It provides translation didactics with a practical toolkit to make the theoretically postulated localization teachable for relevant text types and to equip future practitioners with style guidelines in accordance with DIN EN 15038.
