The collection is complemented by an afterword by Werner Morlang: The approximately sixty new texts from the last four years are explicitly dedicated to the continuation that pays tribute to the relentless nature of the world and reaches down into the depths of our childhood and the heights of our sometimes wild dreams. The twelve haikus 'Geography,' for example, are highly mobile, travel-loving texts, yet we know at the latest from the prose miniature 'On Traveling': Klaus Merz is a constant presence, meaning he remains with the things that preoccupy him, with the inexhaustible exoticism of our existence.
