May 1912: Lady Hardcastle and Flo are eagerly anticipating an art exhibition and a bicycle race. However, at the opening of the exhibition, a fire breaks out. The main attraction and a valuable painting belonging to the Farley-Strouds are stolen. To make matters worse, the bicycle race, which started as a charming day out, ends with a shocking murder. Finally, the Farley-Strouds reveal that they are bankrupt without the sale of the painting. A chase for an art thief, a murder investigation, and a treasure hunt for the benefit of their friends – the detective duo once again has their hands full.

This series is undoubtedly among the best historical cozy mysteries I have read to date.
